DANIEL STINSON CPA PLLC
EFFECTIVE JAN 2026
CHARLOTTE, NC
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Daniel Stinson CPA PLLC website and client portal. By using the site or portal, you agree to these terms.
1. No client relationship without an engagement letter
Visiting this site, submitting an inquiry, or exchanging emails does not, by itself, create a CPA-client relationship. A relationship is formed only when both you and the firm sign a written engagement letter that describes the scope, terms, and fees of the work.
2. Informational content, not advice
Content on this site is general information about the firm and its services. It is not tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice, and you should not act on it without engaging the firm or another qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
3. Client portal use
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to upload only documents you are authorized to share.
- You agree not to misuse the portal, attempt to access other accounts, or interfere with its operation or security.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site or portal for any unlawful purpose, to upload malicious code, to scrape or harvest data, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or data.
5. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, and marks are owned by the firm or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without permission. Documents and data you upload remain yours; you grant us the limited rights needed to provide our services.
6. Third-party services
The portal and certain features rely on reputable third-party providers (for hosting, e-signature, payments, and similar functions). Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers' terms.
7. Disclaimers
The site and portal are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that they will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every threat. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the firm will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or portal. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law or professional standards. The terms of any signed engagement letter govern the services we perform for you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or portal after an update means you accept the revised terms.
